James P. Furlong II, MD
Dr. James P. Furlong is a graduate of the Albany Medical College. He completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Furlong has been practicing in Troy since 1979 and specializes in Joint Replacement Surgery and Sports Injuries. He is the former orthopaedic surgeon for the Albany River Rats hockey team.. Dr. Furlong is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Rensselaer County Medical Society, and the Lake Placid Sports Medicine Society.
Dr. Furlong has long been the Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. He was awarded the "Founder's Award" in January of 2009 from Northeast Health System for his many years of service and leadership at Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Furlong is no longer performing surgery and is available in the office on a limited basis. He will be away from the office from February through May of 2010. Location(s)Troy
