Dr. John T. Whalen is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Albany Medical Center followed by a one year spine fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
Dr. Whalen is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His interests include general orthopaedics, scoliosis, spinal deformity and disorders of the neck and back. He is also now performing Kyphoplasty to reduce the symptoms of vertebral compression fractures and is trained in artificial disc replacement surgery.
Dr. Whalen is the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, New York.
Dr. Whalen sees patients in the Albany,
East Greenbush, and Troy Offices.
