Dr. Suslak Joins NEO, Specialist in Hip Arthroscopy

ALBANY, NY – Northeast Orthopaedics, LLP welcomes a new team member to its field of experts. Board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Adam Suslak of Mechanicville, New York has joined Northeast Orthopaedics, LLP – a leading provider of general and specialty orthopaedic surgery in the greater Capital Region.
“Adam is the newest addition to our outstanding sports team,” said Practice Administrator Alan Okun. “ In addition to his skills in sports medicine, Dr. Suslak has been specially trained in the new field of hip arthroscopy. This specialty will now allow our patients to stay in the Capital Region for this procedure. It shows our commitment to providing the best orthopaedic care for our patients.”
A native of the Capital Region, Adam Suslak graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Science and received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. After orthopaedic residency at Albany Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Center for Orthopaedic Research and Education (CORE Institute) in Phoenix, Arizona. Suslak holds a special interest in complications associated with early intervention within 48-72 hours for hip fracture patients taking Plavix. He has been published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics on biomechanical comparison of flexible stainless steel and titanium nails with external fixation using a femur fracture model.
