Dr. Jabbur retired from active practice in July 2004
Dr. Munir Jabbur graduated from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine, Lebanon, in 1952. He immigrated to the United States in 1954 and completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albany Medical College. He then pu
rsued a one-year fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at Harvard Medical School at the Children's Medical Center. He has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery since 1959. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surge
ry and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Crawford Campbell Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Jabbur was the recipient of the Third Age Award in Medicine in Nove
mber, 2000. This honor is sponsored by Senior Services of Albany, giving tribute to individuals over 60 years old who continue to be active contributors in their field and the community. In 2002, he was honored by the Medical Society of the County of Albany, Inc. for fifty years of medical service to the community.
