Dennis Golis, RPA
Dennis Golis, RPA-C, is a native of Toledo, Ohio. He received his B.S. in Biology, Pre-med at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio and received his Masters of Science Degree in Physician's Assistant Studies from DeSales University in Allentown, Pa. He has worked 10 years as a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedics and moved from Ohio to join our practice in 2007.
Dennis spends his time in our office seeing patients with Frederick Fletcher, M.D. and assists Dr. Fletcher in the operating room primarily performing total joint surgeries of the knee and hip.
Out of the office, Dennis enjoys coaching sports with his 2 children, Nicholas and Tatum. He and his wife Jennifer love movies, theater, travel and many outdoor activities.
Erin Hughes, FNP
Erin Hughes received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College in 1998. She then pursued her Masters of Science in Nursing and certification as a family nurse practitioner at Sage Graduate School, graduating in 2001. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, also from Russell Sage College, 1993 and a Masters of Art degree in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University, 1994.
Erin joined Northeast Orthopaedics in October 2004 after working in primary care. She works in the office, seeing patients with Drs. Khuri, DeCamp, and Goldstock. She also does patient education and follow up for osteoporosis patients. Erin also works with Dr. Flik, providing sports medicine coverage for The NY Buzz, the World Team Tennis franchise here in Albany.
Outside the office setting, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, including gardening, horseback riding, and camping.
Heather Kepner, FNP
Heather graduated from Russell Sage College with her BS in Nursing in 1999. She then went on to obtain her MS in Nursing and Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sage Graduate School in 2005.
Heather joined Northeast Orthopedics in February 2009 after working with a GI practice in Troy. She works solely in the office doing preoperative history and physicals. She also sees post operative patients for Dr. Richard Katz. Mostly recently she started working with our operative and non-operative spine physicians, including Drs. Montgomery, Whalen, Rigolosi and Buttaci.
Outside the office Heather enjoys spending time with her family, scrap booking, and participating in outdoor activities with her daughter.
Martin Knowlton, RPA
Marty Knowlton, RPA is a 1976 graduate of the Albany Med – Hudson Valley PA Program. His many years of experience as a Physician Assistant include inpatient medicine and surgery in the hospital setting as well as clinic experience in private orthopaedic practices in Albany. His medical career began as a USAF medic during the Vietnam War. He is on the faculty of the Albany Medical College PA Program and is often seen working with physician assistant and nurse practitioner students in our office.
In addition to his busy work schedule, Marty enjoys home winemaking and playing trumpet and congas in two area big bands, the Swing Docs and Georgie Wonders Orchestra.
Cody Misener, RPA
Cody Misener is a native of the Capital District, growing up in Schoharie, New York. He attended SUNY Cortland receiving his bachelor’s degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science in 2007. He is a recent graduate of Albany Medical College Physician Assistant program.
Cody joined Northeast Orthopeadics sports medicine team in July of 2011. He works both in the office and in the operating room with Dr. Flik.
Cody enjoys playing golf, hiking, kayaking and spending time with his family and friends.
